General - VIP Shop imaxorz has been bringing up discussions recently with the staff on different temporary perks which can be bought by anyone through the shop. The server still needs money to continue in operation and needs to properly reward people who wish to donate. If you have ideas of things you'd like as temporary boosters or things (be it cosmetic or otherwise) let us know.

Unfortunately not everything is perfect and we are still waiting for an update in general for 1.8 for the entire modding community. Creative is going to have a more regular building day schedule from now on. It will be weekly on Thursday nights from 5 to 7 PM EST, because that is one of our peak times on the server right now. If enough people absolutely hate the time it can be changed, but that is what it will remain if no one complains.
The first building day will be held tomorrow (October 16th), and the theme will be Victorian.
General - /Seen
For those not living under a rock, we have transitioned from /seen to /ontime. People were used to the /seen command so ndvenckus1 wrote a small plugin which when replicates the old /seen plugin but looks up the data from the ontime database. I am not 100% sure if he applied this to all servers, but something we can easily throw on creative and vanilla if it isn't already there.

October has begun! Before announcing the winners for September, I'll give a quick recap on the prize distribution system:
The top 3 monthly voters get in-game trophies (on both survival and creative) that they can cherish for years to come, along with a podium display at the hub for the next month.
Those with at least 200 votes will receive 7,500 rupies on survival.
Those with at least 150 votes will receive 5,000 rupies on survival.
Those with at least 100 votes will receive 2,500 rupies on survival.
Those with at least 50 votes will receive 1,500 rupies on survival.

Ok so I'm kinda cheating with this being the only real update this week, but the let's be honest. The last 5-6 months there have been a lot of updates and especially in the last 2-3 weeks we've been on a really grueling sprint to release a lot of new things on Survival. With the school year ramping up for a lot of folks, amazingly the amount of player's we're seeing online has actually increased substantially recently. We've seen new towns re-emerge, old faces return, and in general both of our core servers (and vanilla) have seen an increase in the average nightly playerbase.

As previously mentioned, we have rolled out the new general rules on the Wiki. These general rules are linked to from the server specific rules and players are expected to take these new general conduct guidelines into considerations on every server on ShadeCrest. Some of the server specific rules were removed that were just duplicates of the general rules.
