The Official Shadecrest Shops are Looking For Owners!

In the shadow of some of Shadecrest's biggest shops, it can be hard to get noticed. If this applies to you, then you're in luck.

The Shops:
The A grade shops: These shops live on the top floor of the market, placed conveniently around the oreshop and auctions. These chests are in hot demand, so get them quick! Each player can currently own only one chest, this may change in the future.Each building comes with a set number of chests for you to mess around with!
Rent per chest: 500r for a month

The B grade shops: These shops have a tidy little place in the basement of the market. The entrance is the first thing that a newbie sees after completing the quiz, so these chests will get lots of love! Each chest is rented individually, however you can also rent 3 yourself.

General - Voting
The July voting contest has come to an end, and winners have been awarded as promised. More info is available in this thread. Expect a few improvements to both the voting site and the voting plugin to happen over the next couple of days. Thanks again to all of you for your efforts last month! Lets hope for an even better turnout this month. Start voting now so we can maintain a good rank (we're ranked 65 on Minestatus at the time of this post, which is the best we've been in a while)! If you have any ideas for the vote shop, please mention them in the vote shop ideas thread.

Survival - PvP Making a Comeback
With the recent population spike, we've had a couple new towns make their way...

The July voting contest has come to an end, and it's time to announce the winners! Since I haven't yet explained how the prize distribution will work from now on, I'll do that right now.

• The top 3 monthly voters get in-game trophies (on both survival and creative) that they can cherish for years to come, along with a podium display at the hub for the next month.
• Those with at least 200 votes will receive 7,500 rupies on survival.
• Those with at least 150 votes will receive 5,000 rupies on survival.
• Those with at least 100 votes will receive 2,500 rupies on survival.
• Those with at least 50 votes will receive 1,500 rupies on survival.

General - MOTD change
If you haven't seen our new server MOTD by now, you should go check it out. "A Minecraft Communtiy" has been replaced with "A sandbox gaming community", more color has been added, our different servers are listed, and it just looks better. This is not the final version, changes may still occur as we are going through a minor rebranding process right now, but it is a good starting point. And no, we will not change it back to "MeowCrest"

I think many have already noticed the fruits of our labor when it comes to voting. Ndv increasing the incentives for voting has more people voting than ever and we're seeing more players...

My apologies for such a late weekly update. There wasn't much going on this week besides the vote consolidation, and I wanted to wait on the other staff members for their input before posting.

General - Voting Improvements
The bulk of the voting improvements are complete. www.shadecrest.com/vote and the link in the site's navigation bar now forwards you to the new voting page thanks to imaxorz. More importantly, we've consolidated the survival and creative voting pages so you only have to vote on 1 page for each site, and so that all votes benefit both of our servers. Likewise, VotePoint balances are now shared between survival and creative. www.shadecrest.com/vote has been modified to include more features and accommodate for the consolidation....

ndvenckus1 has worked on this new voting page. Please report any issues you find with it to Ndv or reply to this post or his voting ideas thread. The intention is to bring both creative and survival voting together and make it easier to vote (and therefore encourage people to do it more often). I personally find it way easier and probably will be voting more myself with how simple it with the new voting page. This is just one of the many changes Ndv is hoping to make in general to voting.
