ShadeCrest: A Gaming Community

For those who haven't checked out SE for a while, now is the time to get into it again. The game is going through a huge bug fixing phase and we're adding a lot of new content today with a massive mod update. All of these have been requested by the players and other mods are still in discussion to be added. I'd really like to thank the community for all their great suggestions. Without your dedication and passion for the server, it can't be as great as it has become. I'd also like to thank Thod for his help combing through the list with me and figuring out what we were definitely keeping, going, and what needed further review.

One of our game changing mods that is important for newbies that I'd like to point out is the
Gravity Collector - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=402858936
Make sure early game to take use of this. Break down the gravity generator and the collector on the default ship and make this cool block. I haven't tested that yet...

Sorry guys, but the current map is unplayable, rollbacks constantly, .5 or lower perma sim speed, and all attempts to make things better has rendered the map unplayable.

World is now reset. I'd like to remind everyone to build with care. Limit the amount of guns used on a ship, turn off ships when possible (dock them and turn them off), and in general be VERY VERY good to the server. Stuff adds up and it ruins it of everyone if I have to enforce some kind of super script which deletes ships which are out of hand.

Ruins it even more when I have to reset the world like I just did.

With today's patch the map has been reset. Survival is now really survival (no longer pseudo creative).



I do not plan on doing another reset of the world until such time there is some kind of procedural generated world. So it's safe to build and enjoy. Please don't completely rape the land of resources. Find a place, build and enjoy the game. Don't mess with / steal from others since it's a fixed non-expanding world.

Here are the settings for the server, for those interested. Note that I upped the time of day from 20 minute days to 2 hour days and it's night 25% of the time instead of 33% of the time. Creative it's always day. There are still no barbarians and no servants on Survival, but you can play around with them on creative.
