Can you maybe be less of a jerk to me? It's getting really old. I have asked you many many times but you always respond with "lol nope".

Obviously you have to plug it into your GPU, why would you plug it into your motherboard?

Maybe because that is where I have my monitor plugged in right now...

ill be a bit nicer. If it is plugged into your mobo, it will use your APU, if its plugged into the GPU, it will use the GPU

This is the most helpful response I have gotten all day. Thank you.

Most of the time (As in mobos without a gpu) then the screen will just go black when you try plugging it in there. Took me a few minutes to realise the first time I did it.

hmmmm, so a 7770 is out of the question because of my 430 watt PSU. the 7750 is my best bet, yet I want something a bit stronger. Should I buy a new 600-750 watt PSU and get a better GPU? It will mean re installing the PSU which IMO sucks ;_; Calling in all nerds for this question! I hope amazon will take back my CX430.

This is what I am thinking about for the next couple of months:

    PSU: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Build...80774695&sr=1-3&keywords=corsair+power+supply
(going with the 600 watt PSU as it seems to be enough.)
    GPU: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GTX650Ti-Dual-Link-Graphics/dp/B00BZB0HDS/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1380775205&sr=1-2&keywords=EVGA 650ti Boost 2GB

I have to admit, custom built PCs are so much fun. You can basically keep one for 7-8 years and just upgrade it!

All you computer junkies I've got a budget of 400-500 dollhairs. I've already got a good monitor 500watt power supply. I would like to be able to play league without lag and minecraft on max settings. Having some memory would be nice as I have plans for the future.(I finally get to upgrade from my 8year old pc!)

just buy the new PSU, it not that much of a pain in the ass to switch out, and it will most deffinatly be worth it in the end

The hardest components to switch out, in my opinion, are the mobo and hard drives/disk drives. Mainly because for the mobo you have to take out 95% of the computer to get to it, and the hard drives because it involved removing both sides of the case. Honestly, it's harder to assemble the desk that it sits on, than it is to assemble a computer.

EDIT: Mainly because I keep losing the allen key.
