server build contests

Also I think weekly build contests would be difficult to manage consistently with good ideas.
We should give people a month to build the challenge.

If there were building contests, I might actually go on the creative server for non-survival-testing things

 

maybe that they have the rights of an vip for a certain period? (its just an idea)

sounds great maybe Z_Milla or Pikaxed might do the videos for us if we ask very very nicely. also since we have the survival games dow we need the pvp world anymore? Just cut that world insert new plot world

 

pvp world on survival?.... isn't there a way to make it so you can build in your area for an amount of time, but when it isn't being used just safezone it? i like the idea of it being a pretty cool looking build out in the creative wilderness.

 

I think it needs to be in one spot if this thing grows we need to keep it contained somehow

 

ya, and we wouldnt want people building up all around it. not sure if that happens in creative though.

 

Imaxorz, you might not like this, how about giving some of the architect privileges to the winner of these contests, assuming that they aren't already an architect (eg. voxel commands). Or you can anounce them "king of the builds", allowing them the right to enter a seperate world for all winners of this contest. The only catch is that when the next contest would come around the previous "king of the builds" would be kicked out of this world, but if he had done a good enough build in that time he would be given the $10 vip.

 

One thing I have learned is keep it simple. Build for contest go back to your reg. Build when done with an extra perk or two for a month.

 

I think prize should be a rank up and if you become architect and win you should just become a king of the builds (means ur a bloody good builder)

 

no i dont think it should rank up a builder II to architect maybe maybe a guest to builder ?if guest are even allowed

 

guests shouldnt be allowed because if they arer really terrible and we have heaps of guests then it would be a waste of time judging al of them
should be BI+ also if you dont like BII-Architect maybe that could mean you get vip I status and if you win again VIPII and after you win 3 more times VIPIII. but i still like Arch-King of builds / Blocks or Queen of builds/blocks.

really classy i was a guest once so was you am I terrible. also wins shouldnt stack

 

i said if they are not they are there is a huge difference. the reason some people are still guests i because they cant build good enough builds to pass and they take like 3 months for a good build (i know i was like that for A LOOONG TIME!) the contests shouldnt go for 3 months that is too long so they would only have like half of thier build done and that sis a waste of time looking/judeing half-done builds

 

i agree with siout, the wins shouldnt stack. i like the keep it simple, and have a nice place with the names of the past winners. this will entice people to stay on with the server and use the simple v.i.p benefits while they last.
