we have cash for gold kiosk which puts money into the economy, why not a [glow=yellow,2,300][shadow=yellow,left]gold for cash kiosk[/shadow][/glow], which takes money out basically. Suggested price: 30r, 25r, or something in between also instead of adding a whole new section, you can just make the cash for gold shops sell and buy

In my opinion, this will not help the economy in the long run. all it will do is let people have a reliable way store their cash in a non-taxable way for tax evasion. People already do this by buying from players, no reason to help them do it. However, with a cash for diamond store, it could help drain the economy and make people use the diamonds they have. There is also no guarantee that they can liquidate their stock when they want because they would need to rely on players to buy the diamond. "this cash for diamond idea also may not work." Good thinking sharqman, especially about making the shops to allow buying instead of making a new area. this shows you are thinking about how to help the server. But for the reasons I stated, my vote is no on the gold for cash idea.
Do you like me Max? I'm a good boy. Anyway I have a question. Are the player shops a must? Because on a old server I played on to sell things you would do /shop sell diamonds 5 Then you would sell the 5 diamonds in your inventory. Then you receive the set amount of money by an admin. Then if you wanted to you could trade with other players in chat if needed. Its been about 6 months since I played on that served but I remember it working quite well. Although duping was very easy due to the way the server would reset. You could go from 1 diamond to hundreds in a week or two.
Jeez guys do ur math if u start with 1000r and tax being 1% (.01) you get 10r taxed by server but if u buy gold, lets say we make the price 30r, will all ur money u spend 990 (coincidence?) so now u hav 33 gold and 10r from that u get lets say .5% taxed, tht leaves you with 9.95r so u loose less so far but: If u go to sell the gold back to the admin store for 25r u make only 825, leaving u with 834.95 so i say let them do it XP takes more money out of the economy lol tell me if im wrong, im pretty sure im right though
omg im sorry my AP Economics*Awesome grammar* skillz befuddle u guys So, a player has 1000r, they think they are smart and going to evade server wide taxes by buying gold and selling it back to the Admin_Shop, which sells iron ore for 30r and buys them for 25r . So they buy all of the gold they can, 33 ores (33 x 30r= 990), they are left with 10r. So the server taxes them (.5% to 1%, lets do .5%) .5% and they lose 00.05r, leaving them with 9.95r, now they go back to the Admin_Shop to sell their gold back. They get 825r (33 x 25= 825) instead of the 990 they paid for! BACA!! they loose 165.05r in this process, loosing more money than they would have if they took the server taxes like a man (1000 x 1% = 10r) they can buy: 33 gold ores they spend: 990r they are taxed : (10 x 5%=1) 00.05r they sell it back and get: 165.05r they loose a total of: 196r they could have lost: 10r ok lets say Admin_Shop sells the gold for 28r they can buy: 35 they spend: 980 they are taxed : (20 x 5%=1) 1r they sell it back and get: 875 they loose a total of: 196r they could have lost: 10r
but still max, how hard is it to just change the sign from 0:25 to 30:25 maybe test for a day nd see how it goes worth a shot aint it?
Lets just assume we went with your proposal and we allowed gold to be bought from the server, and say we went with the 30r each you suggested. Ok, now all the gold is priced between 25r and 30r. nobody will leave this 5r boundary without loosing money. This puts a cap on the gold market, and limits the price on gold. This effectively removes supply and demand for gold. :-\ The server only buys gold as a guaranteed way to make rupies. if you want gold so much buy it at a high enough price that everybody will come to you. . if we "someday" go with your idea, or something like it, I see a server shop that sells things for too much, and buys them for too cheap. this would regulate the prices on items, but this would only be needed if prices were getting out of hand and we wanted to try to keep our current economy. in reality, if it gets bad enough we need a server shop, the economy will need to be replaced with something else. Bottom line, We need to rely on each other and not the server.
lol, sorry sharqman, they are all ideas that have potential, but try this. if you have an idea, write it down. I don't care if it is a pen and a sticky note or Microsoft word, but write it down. do this with all your ideas, and throughout the day think about your proposal and ask yourself "how will this help the server and not just me?" also ask yourself "will this hurt the server somehow?" It is actually easier to find problems than solutions. so try to find problems with your ideas. if you can think of none and it has been quite a while "about half a day or so.?." then post it if you want, but the longer you sit on it the longer you can perfect it and work out the bugs instead of presenting us a good but poorly presented idea. I am looking forward to an awesome idea from you sharqman, and all you need is ONE awesome idea that you worked the bugs out of. ps. good luck and remember, we can only have so many plugins before the game lags too much.
lol, this won't even effect me, more the economy because i don't buy gold the only problem i see is the chest generating new gold i guess its not a good idea then D: (no time to think i was just banned for hatred of my town)
