Occasionally, a guest will come online and exclaim: "Quizz too hard! Impossibru!" or something like that. Others will ask questions about the community to see if they should join permanently. I propose that the guests' chat is a bit darker than normal, so I can still read it, but complaints are not as annoying.
Leaving the channel prevents me from reading other guests' chat, and ignoring the player can be a problem if they become a member later, and I forget I ignore them.
Guest chat doesn't need to be darkened. I suggest you adjust the size of your gui or simply leave the guest chat channel until these people you find so annoying leave.
Alright, since slebert is so polite and people are ignoring a bit of what I say, I guess I'll stop. Like arguing with flipping taperecorders...
I've not ignored a single statement made by you on this subject Epic. What I've done is laid out a couple of your available options as only one other person (according to your poll) seems to agree that the color of the guest chat should be changed. I can say that, personally, unless my focus is already on the chat box, I hardly notice when a newblood types in gc. I just can't see how darkening the chat would make it any easier to ignore. Even if it did, I cannot believe making it easier to ignore what all new players have to say in response to a few bad apples is the direction we want to walk in. Capisce?
The only thing that pops into my head is this, sometimes guests get stuck on the quiz and they freak out and cuss instead of backing away n taking a deep breath then continuing on with the quiz....ppl need to remember to step away when things don't go the way you want them to and take that deep breath to calm down
Y'all are silly, not a new quiz, a tutorial. It is on the back-burners until I get full 1.8 on survival
Just saying we used to ignore guests so the fact people talked to them is better then before. Kinda turn off your peripherals and focus on the center of the screen at attention reciting the sailors creed. Maybe a couple general orders. Should make you forget about guests.
