Had a little accident with my local save file when I crashed (AGAIN). So figured to prevent that from happening again, setup a dedicated server. It's now up and operational. It's running as a "Gold" server so if you have gold unlocked you get the benefits of having a gold account. Enjoy!

We lose all our stuff?

 

Everything you were carrying was saved, but we lost all the stuff on the ground. Luckily, Cyber and I managed to replace a lot of it.

 

I can work with that.

 

Lighting NEEDS to be a priority one of the chests were bused by a zombie when I was testing the restart this morning. Good news over night no zombies busted anything, but one a dedicated server restart (a good thing to do now and then), zombies will spawn around the base. This will not happen if we have proper lighting according to some stuff Dyno was reading.

The popularity of this really has me thinking about changes I will be proposing to ShadeCrest Surivival. It's changes I've been wanting to propose for some time, but after experiencing this along with others from survival, there's a few things that's going on in this game that makes it extremely addictive and fun to play. I want to capture some of that magic and bring it back to ShadeCrest. I think I know how that could be done.

There are a few things we CAN'T have on ShadeCrest, mostly the FPS and Driving mechanics, but there's one key thing that I know I've been enjoying that's not missing from ShadeCrest, just not as fun as it was back in the day. More on that later before I let the cat out of the bag.

 

D: Whenever I drive a car it will kick me for noclip after a minute or so. Now I'm just falling through the map when I log in..... and of course kicking me for noclip.

I've started playing the game. It's like a blocky DayZ set in Canada, pretty much. The betrayal is the same.
