We're on a fresh, amplified map, and we'll be reaching to players outside of ShadeCrest, unlike before. The server is whitelisted, and entry will be strict. If you have a bad history with causing trouble, your chances of being allowed onto the server will decrease significantly. All info can be found on the Minecraft Forums thread. If you're interested in joining, apply there. Have fun
I'd really like all applications to be on the MCForums. Every new app puts the post back up to the top, so that new members keep flowing in. If I let you put your app on here, I guarantee others will want to do the same.
People shouldn't have to go to an external site to apply to a ShadeCrest run server. I am not making another account, that I am never going to use...
MCForums use the Curse log in system. So if you have had a curse account over the years, then it should work. (That is if you have one.)
I know a bunch of us were commenting on how bad "block lag" (?) was in-game earlier. Placing & destroying blocks was just horrendously laggy. I tried logging out and back in to see if it would be any better, but now whenever I log in the chat says 'Mellnyfox has logged out' and I am unable to do anything but walk around.
The block lag is due to new chunks being generated with people exploring, once people settle down and start building it shouldnt be an issue, for your other issue however.... Talk to ndvenckus1 as I have no idea what would do that
Still a ton of lag problems, but at least I'm able to log in now. Bunch of block lag mostly. And for some reason night lasted for a ridiculously long time earlier.
99% of block lag is due to people walking around and generating new amplified terrain, which we should really make new players aware of. When everyone online is just working at their own base, the server should be running fine.
You cant pop world border on and gen the world before opening the server that way you can prevent the lag that's on the server? Its going to be difficult to attract people to a community using a laggy server due to the world not being pre-generated...
It is vanilla. You can't pop a bukkit plugin for 1.7 onto a vanilla server with 1.8 features. You can't use plugins with vanilla servers at all.
There are many ways to generate the world, and its still vanilla if you gen the world and then remove the plugin... It seems more professional to pre-generate the world that way there is not lag all the time...
If you put it on bukkit all snapshot blocks/terrain would get removed and you'd end up with those awkward chunks.
