Okay people, we have a banning problem, evidently. Let's try to come up with some ideas on how to improve how bans work. I could not find a multi-server suggestion board, so even if this is in offtopic, please be respectful and only post things related to this thread. I guess I'll start. Single Server Bans If people are xraying or pigman grinding on survival, why should they be banned from creative? If a player is online, I know how banning someone from a single server may work. Send them to hub, ban them from survival, simple. But if they are offline, I have no clue how it would work. Breaking Rules on Other Servers If they are not on ShadeCrest, than they have nothing to do with us. This is NOT an excuse to start giving us a bad name by being a D-Bag on other players' servers. Ban Appeals/Complaints Be respectful in your appeal. If a staff member closes it before you finish, politely request a conversation about the ban. Do not complain about how long your ban is, it will just make it longer. Forum Banning Is this possible? I am sure quite a few of you know the reason I bring this up. Hint: Their name rhymes with bozo. I hope this info is noted and hopefully will help improve ShadeCrest and it's community.
If someone is banned from any server, they should automatically respawn at the hub. Sent from my mobile cellular device
All of these are already in effect apart from the Other Servers part. Single server bans: We don't do universal bans for server-specific rules anymore. The hub complicated it a bit when it was brought in, as was when we moved ban pluggins (See: "Imported old ban") Ban appeals: Not so much a rule change, just a note about etiquette. I like to think people have the common sense to do this anyway. Forum banning: Bit trickier due to the fact that from memory, only Max can do it. Not needed as often as you may think anyway, if people rage, then it tends to burn out after a bit; and staff can remove offensive threads/comments.
By keeps doing it you mean is a spambot and did it 4 times in a row? Someone'll delete those threads, and chances are they'll never return. This isn't the first time.
I apologise then for my mistake. I also checked the Russian spambot, those 4 posts were the only ones they've made.
My mistake then, it must've removed them from the post count or something. I went on the basis of recent threads combined with post count.
