I'm sure this has been suggested before, but i have my reasons to bring this up again if it has. I think that griefing should be kept to pvp only, i understand that open chests are fair game to encourage players to lock them. But i think that small griefs should be unacceptable on the non-pvp map. It is to the point where i get griefed every single day. I will log on and get a message "Nice melon farm" Then i will go to my farm and there will be a lack of melons or plants. I get all kinds of messages like that. Now i'm sure that sounds selfish, but thats MY personal issue with this. i'm sure others suffer from this. Please consider this. I am honestly getting fed up with having to rebuild my town 5 times a week. Thanks

Im not really sure what you mean here. Griefing isnt allowed. A player may destroy any block they wish, so long as they replace that block as it was. If you are having to rebuild your town, they obviously didnt replace the blocks. That is a bannable offense and if you use the proper channels and report it in the Grief Report, that person will be banned and you will get your town rolled back. No need to change griefing rules.

I think he means that you can't break into houses to steal that kinda thing in non-pvp only pvp.

He may mean that, but breaking into houses is allowed all over. This would simply allow people to lock ONE door and protect unlimited amounts of chests, thus continuing our economic downfall. Trying to get around LWC costs is not a good idea, and frankly, I wish they were higher. 1000r or so. :D There are way too many rupies in our economy and LWC is one of the main ways of removing some of them

It is like Wkdclwncar said. if you need to rebuild anything then someone is breaking the rules and they need to be dealt with. but what confuses me is that you complain about your farm being "griefed?" even if they replant. if you mean they don't patch up the hole they made in the wall when they found your farm, then I totally agree with you. but it sounds like you may be complaining that people harvesting your crops, which I don't understand.

If they replant my farm then then I don't worry. I even have signs posted around asking them to replant and to not grief, because whenever I find a farm and I decide to harvest some of it, I ALWAYS strive to keep it just as I found it, so that nobody will even know I was there. sometimes I even leave some of what I harvested in one of their crates as a small payment for making the farm, because I sure was not there to help make it.

my question is, since we can loot any unlocked chest, but we cant grief, is harvesting a farm and NOT replanting considered plundering unlocked items, or griefing? In my humble opinion it is griefing, because you planted those seeds, or stems in a specific place in your house/cave and are technically blocks. therefore, removing them is a form of griefing. however, when they were first planted they were a seed, and are now fully grown. so if you harvest a fully grown plant then re-plant the same seed in the same place as the first, then you are placing the same "block" back where it was and you are repairing the "griefed farm" back to its owners original state, and get to plunder the "unlocked items" that dropped.

regardless if you agree with everything I said one thing stands. if you find someones farm, treat it like your own and don't leave it any different than you found it. in other words, follow the rules and FIX ANYTHING YOU GRIEFED. I don't care if it was on purpose or by accident. if YOU griefed it then YOU fix it.

it is a block, so its griefing, if its on the floor/in an unlocked chest its stealing within rules
nd u dont get it, i've seen his far nd stuff, its compact nd easy to harvest and tummy564 (or watever his name is) griefed it so much he was banned for it
re: wkd ur argument is invalid ur the richest person on the server, so u have the most money in the economy, so while rich ppl like u thrive and are able to lock chest us normals can't

a way to get more money out of the economy is to make a buy chest for gold, all the gold so to admin shop goes no where anyway, y not make a buy shop there? since the money goes to admin shop, its virtually out of the economy

I agree that plants are a block, and harvesting is therefore griefing. But are we allowed to harvest a farm and replant everything. loosing the past days worth of harvests do to looting hurts ALLOT more than having someone harvest my farm and replant, but that is my view on it. I just want to know so I don't get into trouble down the road due to "but I didn't know" which would not matter, because it is my job to find out if something is allowed or not.

re: sharqman I agree with the gold idea, and would actually venture to add a certain amount of diamond each week "or unlimited" to the list. maybe it would make people use diamond more because they can buy it. It would also help drain the economy.

I disagree about plants. Wheat is so easy to harvest plants and requires work to replant anyway, so I don't see it being an issue.

Melons only require a tilled space next to the stem. If they break the stem, I might be able to see it as griefing.

Pumpkins are the hardest one, and you could say it is griefing since it is a one-time thing, except with mcmmo, even it becomes replaceable fairly easily with the herbalism skill...

My arguement is not invalid simply because I have rupies. I worked very hard for my rupies and paid over 20,000r to lock all my chests. If you want your stuff to be locked and safe, DO SOME WORK! Quit complaining about every single thread on the forum. The rules are in place for reasons and I happen to agree with them all. (Dont really like the daily tax, bt I see the point of it)
