How long is your ban? Permanent, I'll assume. It wasn't specified otherwise,and the ban registry wouldn't work (failed to open file).
Can you explain what you know about the ban in more detail? Myself and many, many other players were using the mcMMO command /ptp to request teleports from the members in our party.
Why should you be unbanned? You have to understand, this command has been used for so long by so many people. Everyone around me knew and regularly used the command, I assumed the majority of the server was familiar with it at this point. In fact, I talked to awastedlife in teamspeak about it around a week ago, and he, random0ne, and I argued our opinions about it. So I was familiar with two staff members who definitely knew the command, one being awastedlife, and the other being padaun, who actively used it. If two knew it, I assumed all the staff knew about it, and no one made a deal about it.

It's not like any of us researched or messed around with a sketchy part of a plugin until we discovered a bug; this is a widely known mcMMO command that many other servers use regularly. I just assumed, "It's a party feature of mcMMO, and we have the ability to use it." I've been on this server for two years, the PvP tournament is coming up, 1.6 just came out. If I had viewed this as a bug that was being abused, I would have reported it in no time. I wasn't about to break a rule I've known for years and lose all of this. This wasn't a bug to me; it was a handy, common mcMMO command that we used to get to our friends in parties. Not for PvP, not for stealing, not for anything abusive or unfairly advantageous.

 

You are banned for 1 week and the ban will stay. If you've been here for two years you should have known we don't allow teleporting to players. It was not widely used on the server only your group of friends, who are all long term members, used it besides some new players that would have no clue we don't allow teleporting to players(yellow names). I don't think awasted even knew what ptp did if you did talk to him about it. Next time you find a new feature in a plugin you should ask about it on the forums instead of using it to your advantage.

 

That's fair, I probably should have used my better judgement. But I want you to know that I legitimately didn't view this as a bug that I was hiding from anyone. That wasn't my intention.

Not sure if this applies to me as I haven't had access to a computer for a few days. Regardless, I admit to using ptp multiple times, and I agree that we should have known better. However I do remember the conversation in teamspeak about the use of it. While I could be wrong, it appeared that awasted did know the purpose of the command and was ok with it. I'm not trying to stir up the issue again, I'm just trying to stress that we honestly thought we had staff approval.

 

I thought you guys were talking about a feature on mcmmo that you wanted to add, I pretty much stopped paying attention when you guys mentioned the word "tp", regardless I should of paid more attention.

 

That's an honest mistake, awasted; don't worry about it too much. The others and I made a poor decision, and we have to answer to it.To me, the situation seems to be close to resolved. Is posting here enough, or should I make a proper ban appeal(assuming I am banned)?
