Right, so to start this off, up until 2-3 months ago I had an account named Kingofall2 which had been given to me from a friend, he shared it with a couple other people and eventually decided to change the password, so I lost access to it. Before I lost the account, my previous home was set public for a mob arena I had made a month before, complete with a shop to sell and buy various items. Anyways, I bought a new minecraft account just to play again named NikleKing (purposely spelled in that way). Upon rejoining after my absence I decided to remodel the front shop area, so I set my home (belonging to NikleKing) to private, which too was set in the same exact location as Kingo's (My old account) set home. I removed the outer walls of the shop and decided to call it a night, as it was roughly 6am. I blocked off the spawn area knowing that Kingo's home was still public and put up a few signs, made a temporary 2x1 wall around the shop area and logged off. I logged on later the next evening to find that my shops had been looted, which wasn't really such a surprise as I figured luck would have its way - and I'll admit, I did take the chance of it happening in exchange for logging off sooner - but regardless, I couldn't have done anything about Kingo's home still being public. Now to be fair and argue my petty, ridiculous point, the odds of someone actually walking to the arena versus someone using the commonly known '/home Kingo' warp, is a low one. If the looters had walked there then I'm perfectly fine with that, but otherwise its slightly unfair, put in my prospective. There weren't any rules broken as it is all within means, which is why I say this is a unique situation. Whether or not if I could recover anything, I suppose is the only real reason I've made this thread. In particular interest to me, Magetime had taken 10 stacks of Gunpowder from the shop chest, whose sign was knocked off as I had taken the wall down. According to the average selling shop price for Gunpowder, I lost 9,500 rupies worth of stock if it where to be sold. In all, my total investment for the stock was roughly 2,600 rupies. I'm not asking that anyone get the lead pipe, I'm just asking for, if anything, the gunpowder back. If Magetime chooses to keep it, if that turns to be the only alternative, then I'll settle it as that. I'd just like for some to understand the situation I found myself in and possibly get my stuff back. Just trying my luck here again. Thank you for your interest. ---- TL;DR: -> Lost access to old account -> Made new account, destroyed a shop building I owned for a remodel, built a wall around and blocked the spawn, limited by time. -> Someone most likely /home Kingo'd, which I'm unable to prevent or do anything about (Don't have access to the account which owns it anymore to privitize it), they jumped the wall - I point out that it is slightly unfair -> They got lucky and found my open shop chests, ran off with 9,500r worth of stock.
Anglorofcrest I believe told me to so ./home kingo because we were doing a trade so I traded and noticed the arena was closed so I decided to check it out turns out the chests had open access as you explained so I took it not assuming anything although I will return the gunpowder when I am able to get on.
Nah, I don't believe I'll be making the same mistake twice. It'd be an inconvenience for everyone to have to get in the habit of a different /home warp. Magetime, I appreciate it. Thanks for understanding.
