Might I also add: Make sure machines aren't lag inducing. If a quarry just drops its output on the ground then it'll lag the entire server.
I was getting paranoid that the post would delete itself because I had been messing with it for too long, so I'll just be adding stuff to it ^^

I am having trouble even loading up FTB. When I go onto the Direwolf20 modpack, it starts downloading the files then just stops forever... it just doesn't work. So if any of you had the same problem and know what to do, please tell me! Thanks.
Also, how long did you leave it? The amount of mods means that it takes a bit to configure itself. Try starting it and then going to make a cup of tea.
Archenemy, when I tried that, i tried to get on the server but then it said I required lots of mods to get on, it came up with a list :/ Legend, I left it for about 5 mins so next time I'll leave it for longer.
Its not the latest version, I think its v7, make sure you are on that (if not v7, the one right before the latest version)
It says that I dont have FML installed? can someone please tell me what that is and where to download it? thanks
I'm noticing a pattern emerging... If it says you do not have the right mods, you're not using the right version! Either make sure it's the right pack, or downgrade to the last version. FTB is a download and plays, simple as that.
