When I first logged onto Shadecrest after I'd been approved, I was able to use the /tell command to chat privately with a player who initiated the conversation. I did not use the chat for anything other than commands after that (/home /home set /warp mining, etc). Today, I attempted to type into the chat, but it told me I needed to join the channel (I tried offtopic, and helpme among others) before I could talk. However when I used the command to join these channels, Minecraft then told me I was already in those channels. My /tell command isn't working either. Any help would be appreciated.
Okay it worked. I wasn't typing the /ch o, is what the problem was. I'm a little new to chat commands, since I usually just voice chat with others or "LAN" with them. Thanks for the help!
These two links should help you further with chat if you're still getting used to it http://wiki.shadecrest.com/index.php/Guide#Using_the_Chat http://wiki.shadecrest.com/index.php/Commands#Chat_Commands Also, it's good to note that if you're in local chat, and want to say a quick message in off topic, type /o <message>. Also, to reply to someone you can either type /r to start private messaging them, or /r <message> to say a quick thing to them.
