cyber5100's ban appeal by Dango_chan

I'm Dango_chan, cyber5100's fiancee. We live together and were playing on your server and suddenly he was banned for "x-raying" (by "awastedlife"; whose username apparently doesn't exist according to the game). I have no idea why he got banned for doing so because he wasn't. I was there.

If you use a block logger and were wondering why he found diamonds/redstone so fast, it was because I had been playing on the server the last couple days and found my way to a mineshaft (at like 10 elevation; if you want, I can show you to this mineshaft myself). When he joined the server, I brought him to this mineshaft right away so he wouldn't have to deal with finding one and traveling through that thick jungle to do so.

The only other thing I can possibly think that could have caused anyone to think he was x-raying is because he launched from the Tekkit launcher in vanilla mode. The only texture pack he has installed is painterly, though.

I think it's kind of silly to automatically assume someone is using x-ray like that. People are allowed to mine and find diamonds; that's what the game is for. Here we were hoping for a nice Sunday night playing Minecraft together without worrying about setting up our server/its mods/plug-ins again, before the workweek, and it basically ruined our night.

Lastly, the example links in the guide for appealing bans are all 404'd, so don't freak out if this fits the 'bad example'. I can't read what is a good or bad example in the first place. Thanks for your time.

 

Me and Sharqman were following him for about 15 minutes, and in that time he has taken sudden 90 degree turns, a sudden elevation drop, and has literally found a cave out of nowhere by taking a sudden turn.

 

Yes. There were tunnels dug by whoever originally discovered this mine. Additionally, I had dug a series of tunnels from spawn to the mine so we wouldn't have to traverse the ~700 blocks from spawn to the mine.

 

I don't know what else to tell you. What I'm saying is the absolute truth, and I have no proof, I guess. The best I can do is appeal it/ vouch for him.

I'm up again, and will be checking the thread throughout the day. Although you may have already considered these solutions, and deemed them unfit for your server or have already put them into use (I can't tell!), I thought I would suggest using the CompatNoCheatPlus and Orebfuscator or Anti X-Ray plugins to hinder x-ray and other cheat users.
