My name is Jean, a male player living in the small town of Sandefjord in Norway.
I'm a player that's rather new to minecraft, a quick search on my gmail reveals that I bought my license
on the 7th of April this year. Please, don't dismiss me completely yet tho; I'm your average geek and gamer,
with some social features like being honest, friendly and respectful to others.
My hobbies consists mainly of computer related topics, everything from perl scripting to gaming, as well as a passion for music. I've been into
computers since my family's 286 back when I was just a kid, and today at age 29 I'm still going strong.
I've been a open source user and enthusiast for something like 13 years. I work full time as a industrial inspector (for some crazy reason).

I've been playing WoW for a number of years, and I enjoy jumping into some FPS-action like call of duty from time to time.
A friend introduced me to minecraft, and in a short time I've already spent a great number of hours in the game. I've been
playing around on my private bukkit-realm with my 10 year old son, and now I feel ready to see some "real world" action with
    other people.

To be honest, I haven't yet built anything that cool. I've played around building some different houses, trying out different combinations
to find the looks that I like. I realize that housebuilding isn't cool, but you got to start somewhere. I've built myself a little fortress of a home.
I've also created a somewhat insanely large tunnel- and railway-system, decorated in different patterned wool and other features.
I know this isn't really something relevant to your realm, but it might actually come close to cool if you could see it (at least to some of us :)
You might say mining has been my favorite thing ingame so far, thus of course enjoying the building!

I must admit that I'm rather new to the game, and therefore might be a bit "noob" from time to time, but I know how to behave and I hate to be a bother.

What I'm looking for in a minecraft realm is a place where I easily can find a place to frolic and build, having a fun time. I'm also looking for a
mature environment, preferably free from spam, begging and childish behavior. I do of course realize that this might be an unreasonable demand at
all times. I'm only looking for rather peaceful playing, with no PvP.

I'm what you might call a farmer, and the concept of being able to farm materials and then sell and trade it appeals to me. I'm
often spending a great deal of time mining, looking for those diamonds and ores. I feel I might be able to contribute to the society this way.

Not sure exactly how I stumbled upon your realm, but I've been spending the evening surfing around for servers, and I greatly enjoyed the
work that had been put into the wiki and forum posts.

English is not my first language, so from time to time I may express myself in a weird way, and misspell the occasional word.

I might not answer the chat from time to time, but that's just something like me being so caught up in the mining that I just outright overlook
the chat window. ;-) I do not know anybody on your realm yet.

I'm sorry if this was too long of a read, I always get a little carried away trying to make a good introduction :)

Looking forward to playing with you!

that was quite a read... :)

welcome to shadecrest... as Sharq said, read the wiki, the guide and it should cover most of what you are wondering...

we also have quite a few players that have been playing for a very long time. feel free to ask in chat any question that you might have, and please read the tutorial section on the forum. it will teach you how to make some cool things that are not in vanilla minecraft, but are present in our world.

you can use warps to get around, /warp list will show you the ones that you have access to, plus you can set your home anywhere you choose with /home set , you then use /home to get back there. you only get one though.
