This has been happening a lot, and it allows players to farm mobs with no risk and no damage. From now on if you see a trap, destroy it. If you make/use one, it will get the same punishment that a mob grinder would.
Maybe the one of the rules should be reworded, or added (also, if I recall correctly there was something in the application about your knowlege of the griefing rule, maybe something like this for mobs too) From what I know, you basically cannot kill mobs anyother way than a fair fight, so the rules could perhaps make it more clear, and adding to the application will make sure they know. Either that or just say it's their fault for not understanding the rules
Yeah, although I wonder if the players not on the forums are the ones more likely to be unsure about this. And I was kind of getting at this rule [li]No mob traps/grinders. Under or above ground[/li] From reading this, one probably wouldn't associate standing under a block as a grinder or trap. (as a grinder is usually thought of as an XP grinder while a trap is something that physically traps mobs) Yes, the next rule does talk about giving no advantage to yourself, but that is only referring to mob spawners. I'm not trying to cover anyone, or justify what they did, but maybe some slack should be given because of this, and maybe just get them to return any enderpearls and /kill to get rid of their xp
That's why I made this warning post, because I know a lot of people do it. So far only one person has gotten a ban, for one day, for it. So no ones in big trouble. But if you see players doing it, warn them in game and then have them destroy the safety area.
Isn't drinking a potion of fire resistance and then entering a blaze spawner, giving us an unfair advantage over blazes? Just wondering? ;D
Haha, no more going to double blaze spawners And fair enough, if i ever do end up going to the end i'll go on a destroying frenzy
