Ban Appeal - Jdspringr07

First, I would like to start off by asking if all of your admins are over the age of 18? RedTheBuilder doesn't seem like he is. I was joking around with Navarog about something then he jumps in saying to stop arguing. 5 minutes later, Nova is just typing/spouting off random garbage and it filled up my screen. So, I make a ((mod request)) saying "Please tell Nava to stfu.. I'm tired of watching him talk to himself for an hour". After I make that request I receive a ban for "Arguing when told not to".

To summarize this -- Is RedTheBuilder artificially power tripping over minecraft? Is it acceptable to ban people when they make a single mod request asking that they correct something? Red isn't the only person I've noticed with issues under your "admin team". I'm not going to point out any additional names, but there are plenty or rude, arrogant, and generally unacceptable behavior from your admins. It is people like this that are going to kill the player base on your server.

I've been on your server throughout various times in the day and I generally see the same people over and over. You're going to constantly lose new players and never grow a larger community if you have admins that think it's all about just kicking people and building. Your team needs to have a positive attitude and stop acting like the players owe something to them. The admins are there to provide a service to the player.

Yes, we are widely aware of these problems and they are something that requires more work. We are mending these problems and trying to make the players' experience a better one. But on my behalf I apologize for any offences you may have taken from our staff and I hope this can be resolved peacefully and diplomatically. Your ban was a 24 hour ban by redthebuilder. I will work to solve any inconveniences caused by this. -_-

You've taken a temp ban way out of contempt because we have discipline for people who don't watch their language and people who are disrespectful. It's a fundamental that we consider when promoting people on the creative server: It requires a level of maturity and patience. Instead of saying "please tell navarog to stfu" you could have rephrased it and said something like "please tell navarog to stop speaking so offensively."

 

nava wasn't speaking offensively, he was just irritating. How many people are offended by the acronym "stfu"? I would hope the same amount of people from the word "wtf". If you're saying that you promote maturity, I wonder why no one is able to take a simple "stfu". I don't know too many adults that are offended by swearing (unless it is excessive). Most of the time if someone is offended by swearing, they're offended by a lot of abnormal non-sense.

 

Firstly, wrong forum, as Wasted has said.

Secondly, I told you and Nava to stop arguing. Nobody else has complained about Navarog's 'spam'. And you, essentially, told him to shut up in a manner that was quite argumentative before contacting me personally. This is the reason I banned you. Not the request. (Though the request was very poorly worded as well...)

The reason I warned you was for, essentially, insulting everyone in an argument with Nava. That was when you stepped too far. "everyone who uses correct grammar is a douche bag". Your excuse of 'sarcasm' only lowered my view of you, since sarcasm is extremely hard to get across in text.

I'll not address your predictions, as any way I put it seems stuck up and such. Though, I will have you know that we are aware of our temper issues, and we're trying to correct them. In the meantime, try not to be rude to people. That, on top of lacking common sense, will generally set us off. (Oh. And, ah. Being rude is against the rules anyway. Whole respecting players and admins bit? So, y'know...)

Serve your day long ban. Be glad it's not longer.
