Plugins

I have been looking over lists of plugins from other random servers trying to find interesting ways to enhance PVP and other general fun things and I have a few plugins that seem worth looking into.

The main thing from this on is that I like the idea of separate hit boxes for PVP damage. There are some other things but I would think you would want to turn those off...
Heroes
I don't know about this but I think it would add to combat and if it is possible might be fun to use durring some crazy PVP event... an extended arcadian war or maybe a large Race for Wool?

Spawn Eggs
This would be nice and since you can configure cost it would be possible to make it still valuable to put in Chest auctions? (maybe a VIP thing if Blatca could add in permissions)

Player-Tracker

Anyways it is very very late. At some point in the future I'll probably look around for more fun stuff but these each would be interesting and would (in my opinion) add to the server.

 

In my opinion I think many of these will be annoying and unwanted.

This could be cool I guess, haven't really looked into it that much, but we do have mcmmo. Though not sure how well these skills will work.

If we were to do this we would need to change the capture item to something of high value, since this would plummet and make competition won spawn eggs worthless. For example diamonds.

This could be useful for tracking people, not sure how well it works.

 

This would be nice. I have to go through archives of logs to try to root out alternate accounts, and it isn't 100% effective.

i think that the more physics pistons would be cool to have, but the slower armor will only lessen pvp's excitement. i really like the spawn egg idea. i could make move animals so much easier, and not have to use weat for hundreds of blocks.

 

The More Physics Plugin seems amazing! The arrow idea of if it hits you in the head itll deal more damage is amazing. I vote on this to get it

 

More Physics- I was thinking turn all of it off except the hit boxes for arrows. (would this affect overall server performance.... Creating 4 entities per person?)

Heroes- I only wanted this if it could be turned down to the point where it only slightly affects PVP... For instance no fireballs... But yeah I just like class system games =P

Spawn eggs- I was thinking diamond or something... It could open a whole new level of market. But I would expect some of the eggs to be very expensive.

Player Tracker- Sounds like Nrayf likes it =P It could keep some people off after a ban... Less work for staff after griefs. In my opinion the less affective we show trolling on the server the less will end up happening. (to a degree)

 

Sounds like such a great plugin! >.< (yeah I have no experience with it...)

I'd like to see a vote for MorePhysics though... and actually Notch (or Jeb.. not sure) has already included hitboxes for mobs so I would expect it to be vanilla soon... I'd like to see some encouragement for accuracy with arrows (a head shot should do far more damage as say getting shot in the knee)... Although I wouldn't want boats to fail or armor to slow you down.

As for Eggs... I like the idea just because I've never been a fan of spawning in items and having a legitmate way to get them regardless of how expensive allows for them in auctions. But you are the Auctions expert so I'll defer to you on this one.

 

lol, didnt even cross my mind that people could abduct cats and dogs from homes. we could enable it for like a day to get cats thought, and maby sell them at auction!

 

you can get ocelots with mcMMO just hold 10 fish (maybe some more to tame it), sneak and left click. It's a bit bugged though, they don't change color last time I checked

too many VIP only benefits, offers unfair advantage over non-VIPs like me and sharq T_T. Btw, I WANT to donate, just can't.

 

As a member of the top tier VIPs, I think that the benefits we have are just enough, and I'd like to see then start where they are.

 

Did that sentence make sense?
