I feel with letting guests gather resources in the mining world was not the greatest idea. I noticed that there has been an increase in guests just going to the mining world, living there, and never applying, I hope that someone can put an end yo this. I wanted to know how everyone else feels about this.
Having the mining reset more often would force people to setup in the main maps, that is why I made my first house on the main map. Maybe just say that there will be a reset of the maps so people think there will be, but never do it? or change the spawn since there is no starting house, they will never know > can they use /home?
Yeah I am beginning to have the same feelings as well. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard of a guest with atleast 60 diamonds, a full set of diamond armor, and all diamond tools... And he's been here for 4 days. Witnesses of this include Padaun and ZPWR. What I'm thinking is either more frequent mining resets or disable mining world use for guests.
Exactly another reason why it's annoying me, they take all the diamonds, which would be ok with me if they would register and become involved in Shadecrest, but they aren't so dragonewt does not approve.
^I see what you mean, but I don't completely agree. While it does give them something to do, I think they should be more informed of what it is that they're doing. They need to know that the mining world is something to occupy them while they wait to be accepted, not something that they're meant to stay in during they're entire time on the server. Just a few signs would probably work.
I do agree with the original post, but then again...these people will most likely end up building ugly cobble and wooden plank houses near spawn...
The point of the OP is not what they build, it's mostly the amount of resources they can get without even applying
oh now that stinks. it might motivate them to drop the lazy and get the app in if they were plundered daily. It would be fun for us too to be able go to mining world to "harvest" the guests' chests.
I don't really care what they do in the mining world, what they choose to build, or how long they choose to stay there. My only concern is their knowledge of what it is they're doing, and what it means to be a guest/be a member.
