the earthquake.. so scaryyyy i swear news anchors can talk so fast and make so much drama for the smallest things..
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 struck in northern Virginia, the U.S. Geological Survey said Tuesday. The quake was felt in Washington, D.C., and as far away as North Carolina and New York, witnesses said never been in one myself...
an earthquake will probably be the wierdest thing you can experience, something very unnatural about the ground actually moving
sorry, i can see how my post might confuse, i still have never been in one... i am a northern canadian... the nearest earthquake to me in the last 15-20 years was 700km away and was about a 1.5 on the scale... did almost get his by a meteor though...
It was a 5.9, which is like nothing to people in Cali, but over here in the east, we're not used to earthquakes, which is why such a huge deal was made.
I was out in the fields when it happened, and I'm in Northern Maryland, about 60 miles from where it hit, I didn't actually feel it too strongly, but it caused a bunch of books to fall off the shelves, and the animals were pretty frightened.
