Since we have been having this issue here's a poll for it. Also leave a comment saying why its needed or not needed.
To be honest, if you live in a town and the mob spawn radius is 4 chunks, the mobs wont spawn at all, but if it is 8 chunks, the radius is bigger and they might spawn at the edge of your town. I voted yes because working in a large non-Towny protected area can be like running the gauntlet when you need to get to one place to another, and you know you can't face 3 creepers, 3 skelingtons, 3 spiders, and 3 zombies at the same time (with out hacks).
^ ur just bad lol. just wear diamond armor. and if u cant kill em. bring instant health II potions.. like the ones i sell
I really don't like how many mobs there are, it's really annoying for those of us who don't live in america or has good internet, I can't kill a creeper without it exploding if it isn't being blocked by anything. I can't handle all the mobs there are currently.
i voted it go back to normal. if you want a fun time with mobs, there is always the monstamash. but now that im arcadias assistant, i find it really annoying trying to walk down down and find people houses to label, without a creeper, or some other mob killing me.
I voted back to normal. The massive amount of mobs only hurts those that dont wish to constantly be fighting. Its not like people who enjoy killing mobs ever had a hard time finding them before. I see no reason for the change and would love to go back to normal so I can build again
BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH, I just upset the balance I like the idea that you are being pressured into doing at least a LITTLE fighting with mobs, but for people who are plush-core players I think that it should be back to normal.
Yeah I'm going to say set it back to normal. It was fun for a while, "Oh hey mobs everywhere! Time to rampage!!!!XD" but when time comes round to do some mining or work on a project, it's more like, "Oh.... hey... mobs.... EVERYWHERE.... Just ignore them Spacey boy... just ignore them..." "Sssssay what ya buildin there sssssssssport?" inquires the creeper that's about to ruin SpaceCadetKevin's day. "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu," explodes SpaceCadetKevin as he and all his possessions are vaporized by aforementioned creeper of advanced day ruining capabilities.
I can't even build a nice little thingy without some creaper blowing me up with my crap on me (so of course I loose everything exept 5 dirt -_-) its a pain BACK TO NORMAL, NOW!
I absolutely love how the spawns are now, mob killing is one of my favorite aspects of the game. I have so much more to do now that so many more mobs spawn xD Please don't take it awaaaaay, pleeaasee
the way i think of it that it was put like this in the first place, which to my understanding was to reduce lag. it's either lag while killing zombies as your game is rendering them further away im assuming, or have more closer to you that can be killed easier, in my opinion. i say we keep it the same but that's just me.
Well the reduction of lag is always a good thing, but the closer these demons of the nether spawn to a player seems to go hand in hand with how... frequently.... they uh.. spawn near the... player. ^ Yeah that seems solid. What I'm trying to say here is, it's one thing to clear a cavern FULL of mobs and be good to do some mining for, let's say, 5 minutes. It's another to clear a cavern FULL of mobs, turn around for no more than two seconds, turn back around and notice that the cavern is, once again, filled to mob capacity.
I agree with the majority when I say that there are far too many mobs now. Like was mentioned above, if you want to fight mobs, go to the monstamash. With current settings, monstamash is totally unplayable as you cant even get out of the entrance without taking your life into your own hands. I also feel the the old way was far too few mobs. Maybe something in the middle would be more reasonable.
Speaking of that, i've noticed a ton of traps in there, as well as holes in the wall that people camp and shoot arrows from. I think I sent you a message in game, but would you mind fixing that so it complies with the "no advantage over mobs" rule?
Actually the traps are as harmful to the players as it is to the mobs. there is no advantage over them.
