Upon recently learning that you cannot have 2 vip protections, I had an idea. Instead of only adding on to an existing vip zone(like upgrading from say, a 25x25 to a 35x25), that the player can have 2 seperate zones (granted they have the required donations.)

Maybe the second zone would have to be attached to the existing zone.

For example, I like having my home protected as I contantly get griefed. I was thinking about adding on a new branch to my home as the existing area is getting a bit cramped. The current area is the size of the $15 package. Since then i donated another $10 and would like to use the $10 package's vip protection to protect an area off to the side of the existing area. Sort of like an 'L' shape.

I'm sure this could benifit many other users, not just myself, it adds more options to the donator. It could also get a few others to consider donating.

Just an idea, hopefully others feel the same.

*I fully understand that donations are for helping the server, but we do happen to get benifits.

I disagree with this, as that means one can expand his protection to cover as many blocks as he wants over an area, just based off of payments. Though hiding chests there is illegal, it's easy to check if it's only a 35x35 plot. With the amount that some people have donated, that's over a half a million cubic blocks that are inaccessible. This would create a lot of work for admins to enforce/create/keep up with the protections, for little benefit anyways. After all, griefing is disallowed server wide, and there's not much benefit to having 4500 square blocks (the size of a small town) blocked off for yourself.

I see where the issue is, well maybe have a maximum number of expansions?

What's the benefit? rollbacks are free and happen pretty much on demand, and griefing is illegal anyways.

Ah, I will look for stuff if you like. And nrayf, it isn't that griefing is the issue, it's the frequent small griefs. It isn't fun when you have to constantly run back and forth to fix a single missing block. I understand though, thanks for making this more clear =)
