I'm sure you guys all know about the golden apples that cost 8 gold blocks to get, and essentially grant invincibility for 40 seconds. Well, there appears to be a huge amount of them in flow right now, and only a small portion of them were obtained by actual crafting. I think these god apples from events like auctions and treasure hunts should be very much limited if not completely gotten rid of, so that the only way to obtain them is through actual, legit crafting. It seems like nowadays, the person who wins a fight is whoever has the most apples, which I think is ridiculous. If you want something so overpowered, you should actually be required to put the 72 gold in to get it.
Having only attended one or two big auctions in the last 8 months, how many apples are we talking about getting given away?
This isn't necessarily about my opponents, but just players in general. Like I know mage got a stack of them from auctions, and I assumed he wasn't the only one. I just didn't think people were actually putting 10 stacks of gold into a pvp battle Just for the future, I wanted to make sure the only way these apples were getting into fights was from legit crafting. I think 72 gold ingots probably deserves a few seconds of invincibility. I just don't want PvP overflowing with these, which it seems like it is right now.
I agree completely. PvP is already made easier by enchantments and whatnot, but the god apples just makes it more tailored to the richer player. PvP needs to start getting back to its old roots of who ever is better at fighting has the upper hand. Right now people are scared to fight because they know they'll die if they fight a rich person and that's not right. I know taking god apples out and starting over is not possible, but we need to stop making them so easy to get or like ndv said, PvP is going to get overrun with them to a point where it's not even fun anymore.
Are you sure he got a god apple? Maybe he's just saying that to troll since i only give out 1 goldblock per win
He said he did... I dont see why he would lie lol. Im not sure who gave it out because Arch was running the events and idk if he did the prizes or not.
I have to agree on this the reason we are making new towns and simplifying rules is to encourage new players to stay in pvp, its already hard enough with god armor and weapons, I think these should be limited and controlled via games and event and encourge more players to actually make them their self
