okay, so ive been working on making a town for new members quite some time now and today i logged on and took a break from my towns underground to work on getting rid of myc and turn into grass, so yes it was in a mushroom biome. i noticed all the work i had done had been undone by a few members without perms from me and if he checked the blocks he would have seen i had been working on it not to long ago or the party wanting the land could have done /seen and noticed im very active. i must admit i was very niffed. moose rolled back my house but said he would have to we it so i said its fine. moral of the story i think the party could have just ASKED rather than griefing. thanks bobbylou4
Just clarifying, pyro didn't roll back, hak and aaron manually broke 7000 blocks and replaced it with mycel/dirt Hakalu aarondang pyro5050
the area where we were had no logs on the items we changed. the house that was taken down on the surface was poorly built and appeared abandoned due to no logs. i stated to them in open chat that i would not rollback as the water damage to the biome was not against any rules, and not attacking anyone. we manually placed blocks to remove the water from the biome, i am just going to point out that the scans i did checking on did not show anything of that sort. and laying claim to an above ground biome with no real construction (the house was cobble, wood, glass poorly placed, broken door, and missing pieces) there is also no reason to believe that it was occupied. i did assist them in changing it, mainly because the damage on the surface of the island appeared random and malicious to the biome... if you want grass, live on a grass covered island. if you want giant mushrooms, build them on an island... there was one sign on the island, it did not have any text and was covered by a piece of mushroom. if you are going to claim a biome, claim one that does not need to be changed, and start construction on the top right away so that there are real buildings we can see, i authorized this as EVERYTHING about the top of this island said abandoned and not cared about.
This island appeared to be abandoned...there was nothing but a poorly constructed house^. Anyway on server rules you HAVE to build something to claim land. You cant simply claim an entire biome for yourself without building something. Mycelium to grass does not count as a building.
Sorry, but I'm just gonna chime in here and say that the logs database was completely wiped at the beginning of April...which is fairly recent. So logs isn't really a good basis to go off of in this situation. But if it seemed completely abandoned, that could be a completely whole other story. :/
You knew someone lived directly below it Should ask the person if it's theirs before making over 10000 edits We have a sub forum for exactly this though
It was pretty clear that the island was inhabited if the entire surface was changed to grass, but the player might have been long gone. However, you did find bobby's base and he's a fairly active player, and if I'm not mistaken hak didn't you do work for bobby in this base?
that is not info anyone shared with me, if someone rolled back the changes, so be it, but from what was seen by me, going over the logs, in the area, and the damages to the terrain, i just went with abandoned... if not, so be it and a rollback has apparently already happened... so this is solved then?
Restoration will be manual (world edit) since prism skips over breaking grass then placing dirt. Maybe someone try p:environment for the player parameter
again i was not looking to make a big deal out of this i justed wanted to see some type of sule for this type of situation
Should fall under griefing rule, just need to reinforce that: If you think a certain build or project has been abandoned post a demo req on the forums, do not deconstruct it yourself Since most houses will not have any logs for the blocks, ask a mod or admin to search for other actions like commands in the general area, as this is better to illustrate activity
i took care of this this morning, if it is not what you were hunting for bobby, send me a PM via the forums and i will take care of it. sorry this all happened. weird circumstances and all...
it all good, and i havent gotten on because of the hardware swap, but im sure its great pyro, and i understand every opinion here and will strive to get it done faster or just leave some signs or something. thanks for the motivation to start working again actually... =) ~bobbylou4
