How to properly dispose of a laptop

We all know you shouldn't just throw away a laptop, I've made sure this baby's harddrive is not recoverable

I also uploaded it to youtube. Took 3 damn hours because I exported it using AE

 

I have a old laptop but it's keyboard is missing like 7 keys so I got an idea, let me add that I also have a non functioning Nintendo Entertainment System.
I'm going to first gut the NES.
I'm going to find a way to fit the motherboard of the laptop in to the NES case.
I'm going to mod some ports in for keyboard and mouse (I don't want to buy a USB keyboard, and it has built in VGA port), and also add some extra USB ports.
Then, I'm going to have an epic computer :O

 

when getting a new computer, wats something to take out of the computer before throwing it away?
