1. Make redstone ore not require permissions to be placed. Reason: Its worthless, so duping isn't quite worth it, and it glows when right clicked/when power goes through it. Most functional ore, pretty and no drawbacks. Also drives up silk touch market. 2. Make flint and steel not need permissions. Reason: Fire charges are a waste of resources, flint and steel will be so much better. Fire is a very nice source of light if used correctly. 3. Make Webauctions more well known by using it to sell things, if possible. Reason: Most people use the mall to sell things for quick money to chest shops, Webauctions, if possible to do this, would be extremely popular.
Fire ignition and fire spread are separate settings. Though fire charge fires aren't any more permanent than flint and steel fires (stone won't stay lit anyway, for instance). That said, too many people are excessive with their usage of flint and steel if given a chance to use it. I'm favorable towards the expense involved with making fire charges, makes people a tiny bit more conservative about having a flaming roof or flaming walls. : In terms of web auctions....I actually don't recall the last time I've used a shop in-game. I find it more convenient to use web auctions for selling and buying. Though like any other trade system, it's popularity depends on the number of people that actually choose to use it. You can't force people to use the web auctions, but the more people that do use them, the more that are willing to check it out. So deposit some more stuff for me to buy...or buy some of my stuff.
I'd say make a post (or revitalize whatever old one we had) listing the benefits vs a shop, such as not worrying about keeping everything stocked (it tells you what you do/don't have), not spending money on a warp, being able to sell enchanted items easily, seeing the average prices, etc. Maybe even offer a bonus for players who own large shops in game that completely switch to WA? I'm not saying like 25k for the warp or anything, but a little incentive to spend the hour moving items and setting prices.
Jasp said in game that the WebAuctions went inactive. Just checked the dev page which confirmed that. Last update to the plugin was 1.0.1
Oh dear. Hopefully, dogz supermall will serve as our new mall... or we could have the old mall back again *wink wink
You could always spark awareness for WA by having some kind of event where you sell a couple items on it really cheap and then announce it to the sever.
I announce that I sell stuff at webauctions once every half hour and have been able to start making from 500 to 5000 rupies a day. One thing I would love to have would be: a quick link for webauctions guide @ www.shadecrest.com/webauctions. It is a little too hard to explain the things in chat easily. Yeah and I'm eagerly waiting what updates are coming up next in webauction plus. It seems that when they are "done" with this plugin it will work alike chestshops in games, expect all items will be taken from your webauction account and have all other great things. So if you ask from me webauction is like heaven. One page for organizing all your deals. No more running between chests shops and it is just getting better. _________ Everyone of you could also vote @ http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/webauctionplus/ for what they should add to webauction to make it better for you to use. For people too lazy to go there here are ideas what they have: Which major feature should be added first? (repoll) Choice: Banking (full system with transaction logs, credit cards, and ATMs) On site inventory (no more depositing items) Server shops (much improved, all possible items in a list, price relative to market) Sign shops (auction sales can be made from signs) Ebay style auctions (items can be sold by auctioning, or buy-it-now) Wish List Buying (players post buying auctions) Spout and custom item support (added to the poll late, but here it is)
I still don't understand why ores are disabled. Why would anyone in there right mind lay diamonds down and wait a month, just to get maybe like 1 or 2 extra. Not to mention i'm sure one of the admins would figure out they are doing this in that time. But I agree, I wish redstone could be placed.
-.- I'll explain how to cheat very clearly. get a Silk touch unbreaking III pick. I bet dureja's fished up 10 of those. Put diamonds down. break them. repeat the process for 1562 (diamond pick durability) x 4 (unbreaking III) times. You've now mined, in mcmmo's eyes, 6,248 diamond ore in the period of a few hours. You just gained 4686000 mining experience points.
/warp mall takes you to the cash4gold booth. dogzfriend is building a market place type thing http://www.shadecrest.com/forum/index.php?topic=4085.0
Redstone should not be enabled as it tempts people to abuse it, a redstone machine that pushes the block to another one resets it's placement, meaning you can harvest it again and gain MCMMO benefits from it. this could be done with any block... this is not a good thing... people also make repeaters, repeaters cause lag... when i was mod and admin we tried with redstone... people do not understand to NOT SCREW WITH STUFF.... i vote that redstone be left off, that ore placement be left off, that flint and steel be enabled if we can stop people from being doofusses with it, if not disable it.
