modification (not moderator) repeal

hello i am jude97 i want to try to get the smart moving mod fully allowed into the server. the smart moving mod if
some do not know is a mod that makes your avatar do complex motions when encountering diferent situations, swimming, climbing ladders, etc., but the mod also allows you to vault over walls up to 4 blocks high for this reason the mod has been crippled. but i think the mod was not given a fair chance and for these reasons i think that it would actually benefit the server in different ways, here are my reasons.

1. the mod would add a new realm of possibility's to the tactical aspects of the game
2. the mod could probably help the grieving problem ( why break a wall when you can shimmy over it.
3. the mod would help in building structures and remove the annoying nececity of dirt scafholding( to an extent)

now i know you might think it would help thieves but the rule that you cant lock your base in any way already does that so i think banning the mod wasn't really neccisary.
please take this mod into consideration.

It would be cool. But trust be when I say its buggy on smp

 

I've seen a video of the mod and adding it to the server even if it is smp combatible would be a really, really stupid idea.
Many things that weren't accessible are now and would not be a smart addition and as far as I know I don't think max would ever add this.
It would also make fighting mobs too easy as you can just jump up two blocks and be safe.

 

im not saying that he should add the mod to the server im just asking that he take it of the banned mod list
you dont really have to download the mod it would just let the people who have it installed use it

and it probably would but the actual climbing is very slow so you would have to be a few blocks away

 

Also if you haven't realised it's a single player mod as far as I know and letting people use it is the same as using cheats, it will not be added to the server neither will it be legal as it makes too many problems.

look i'm just saying 1. i don't see any problems it could possibly make if any one has a problem with it because their walls are too short they could just build it a few blocks higher.
2. its completely compatible, the only problem i experienced with it is that you cant go though 1x1x1 spaces
3. can anyone here say you wouldn't be bad a## 8) with it unless someone has an bow and arrow :'(
4. it evens out the playing field to counter the goodies all the v,i,p's have ( yes im talking about all the bridges and gates w[hich i haven't seen lately?].)

 

The goodies the VIPs have are because the VIPs donated. The goodies persuade people to donate. We don't want to start discounting those.

 

okay... im sorry i may have went a little too far..... im just surprised that such a good mod can be thrown away without a second thought i mean which one of you have even tried out the mod( not the videos )
it not like the mod give the power of laser vision and the awesome power of flight( trust me....... it doesent learned that the hard way)

 

There is the difference between a good mod and a mod that is just a lot of fun screwing around with. And then there is the difference of a reasonable mod.

It gives you the ability to jump 2 high blocks and other things, it gives an advantage, it lets you super jump and whatnnot, I haven't tried it but I've seen the video and it is not something that would fit here like I said.
These kind of things alter the gameplay greatly, you can easily escape mobs more than you would be able to before and it's not fit for here, we don't want it.

 

can i please have some other thought than just from kirder please and also i know it probably would be easier to escape mobs but im talking about actual player combat and if that's the only reason you say 'YOU' don't want it then i dont see any reason not to take it off the banned mod list it not like everyone on the shade crest server is going to install the mod and the mod itself is easily countered

 

Here's another situation, you are in battle, you are on low health, you have easy moving mod, you run to a mountain and super jump your way up and the other player can't catch you because of that, this mod is game changing.
It completely revamps how you move around the fastest and most efficiently, it's not a good mod for the entire server and if everyone doesn't have it, someone else having it is an unfair advantage.
Toggle sneak was suggested but max said no because it was unfair to those who don't have it, so this will be the same case.

 

super jumping only lets you jump 2 more blocks you not knowing this fortifys my theory that you did not
even test this mod now if you will please dont post anything else until you have done so.
also it takes about 4 seconds to charge up the jump so using it mid battle is useless the way this mod goes is that people cant get to places faster and easier is there anything wrong with that there is no way of cheating it just adds some park-or ability

I believe you are contradicting yourself here, it adds an element of easy movement, the mod itself is called easy moving mod, I think it's stated right there that it makes getting places faster and easier.
You can climb two high blocks, it in itself is a extremely overpowered weapon agains another player who doesn't have it.
It is considered cheating when not everyone uses a game changing mod, if we were all using it, it wouldn't be cheating though one player having this would be classed as cheating.

I wouldn't say that's true, since because of the easy moving mod it's harder to hit people with a bow.

 

well it takes 3 seconds to lift yourself up with the mod i would be able to put an arrow or 2 in somebody

 

3 seconds is an over exaggeration and I believe it would be easy to escape someone by going up a mountain also not everyone carries bows.

 

The reason it doesn't work is because the fly hack blocker sees irregular movements (such as smart moving) as fly hacks. I tried to use this mod only to find that it was completely useless on the server. None of the cool movement commands work and for good reason. I doubt Max would like it if people could jump and climb there way into anything (especially pvp towns for raiding).

 

Wow. you guys should just get it over with and tie the knot. You are made for one another.

 

You should get it over and done with by removing your "Post ressurect" skill.
