What you can do with Sponges (example study, click to enlagre)^^' A Slideshow with all those images you can find by clicking this Line =)
I do not like this idea, because griefers, can come along and buy or steal sponges, and use them to grief lakes and sea near town and such. Also, what's the point of them going to be?
Even without the 'water sucking' property, (which works in most server) its quiet an interesting material to build with. Griefers exists without them and works with every other block too (and can be rolled back). With its property it can get not even nice looking contrasts and designs but also interesting when playing with water. =) I realy like this block and it would be a pity if people couldn't use it. (It shouldn't be much of a problem to make it impossible for lets say yellow names or guests to 'mine' or place) Please reconsider and allow the entry of sponges in this server. =)
I still do not think we should re-introduce sponges, they were taken out of the game, so we shouldn't bring them back in. It's like bringing back a non-existent object to people who weren't around when sponges were around. And it would cause some griefing problems if they were 1,000r, or expensive. Somebody would see some sponges, and they would grief them to sell them for money. Also why would they go into the Admin Shop? Admins can spawn items anyway, and only a couple of people know how to get there, unless you mean the iConomy "AdminShop" shop. It's just my opinion, I don't think sponges should come back, it's pointless.
They are clearly available in "Creative Mode" which can be interpreted as taken back in (since 1.8.1) somehow. Calling them non-existent sounds just plainly wrong. Well i don't thing anyone would be able to build anything with them if they where so expensive They look nice, so even if the functionality is put of, i think it's still worth it. Well what else would i mean than a iConomy Shop
