ShadeCrest is now running 1.21.5 with a new map. The plugins are not final so you can think of this as a beta, some things are still being worked on and there will be rough edges. But it's running!

I promise nothing about looking at the forums for whitelist requests, I was terrible about that last time. Discord is a much more reliable way of getting my attention.

The server is running 1.18.1, but not all of our plugins are up to date, configured, or in some cases even installed!

As a result, we are currently running the server with a whitelist. If you want to be added, ask in this thread or in discord and post your ign

Rules:
1. No griefing
2. No hacks or exploits (including xray)
3. No killing players in non-pvp worlds (currently: all of them)
4. Don't build within 100 blocks of another player without permission

We've finally updated the server to the latest Minecraft version 1.16.2! That only took like 3 weeks of waiting and 6 hours to do the update...

Even though the changes in this version aren't that large, we have a few other updates for the server. So I guess this is the next never-ever-actually-monthly update thread.

Mending & Repair
I've created a prototype of a new repair system that dramatically changes how anvil repairs work. I'll list the current details below, but be aware that it's not applied to everyone right now, only people I put on a list (waterpower1 and myself right now). After it's thoroughly tested and possibly balanced, it will be rolled out to the rest of the server. My guess would be 2-3 weeks.

Mechanics:

• Items no longer become increasingly expensive to repair, their exp cost is exclusively based on the resulting enchatments
• Items without mending can be repaired 10 times. This number is displayed on the item...

We've updated the server to the latest Minecraft version (finally, geez me)

I've done a spot check of a few things, but we have not checked on all aspects of the server. Please let us know if you run into issues!

For those who joined us in the temporary "escape the nether" server, we will leave that running for a little while longer (in case we need to modify survival again). You can switch to this server with /server vanilla

It won't be easy, walls changes, traps that might lead you to death, hidden doors and more...
And stay alert, others might want to go for the prices as well, so a backstab might take place, even of your own friend
