Survival is in need of builders to create and update various structures/terrain around the server. Castle dungeon Brief: In sharp contrast to Sewers, Castle is a PvE dungeon that overwhelms you by its massive scale. The early sections are balanced for new players with little gear, but monsters grow more difficult and numerous as the path goes on. The final challenges at the very top of the castle are on par with Sewers. What is needed: Front and side courtyard landscaping Interior design for lower floors Layout for upper floors Layout for sewers Interior design for upper floors Exterior for entire castle Mini-boss spires Boss spire Guild halls Brief: Guild halls act as monuments to the core mcMMO skills, each offering unique features to aid you in the quest to level 1000. They sit around the main spawn and are styled rustic with some fantasy elements. It provides a unique, stealth based combat experience, because out in the open you are far too vulnerable! There is no fixed layer structure, but rather a three dimensional maze of pathways to search. What is needed: Basic maze layout Ocean floor terrain Structure and detailing Volcano arena (Colosseum) Brief: This massive, multi biomed, item-safe fighting arena is the ideal location for all kinds of pvp events. If you are looking for like-minded fiends to design and sculpt the most horrifying, challenging, and captivating monstrosity of a tower of torture... then I'll just toos my resume in the bin and you can see the next guy. I can build something decently challenging though and it will look nice. Or I can make it actually impossible, that is also fairly straight forward. Either way, I'd be glad to help.

The usual for me, at the moment I would present Steamtown, my /home on Creative (An ongoing project where I'm making a city), and my /home on survival (A smaller farm, but well made). What editing tools are you good with? Familiar with basic World Edit functions, both in construction and terraforming. While I do know how to terraform using it, I'm not the best at it and can't really do complex biomes just yet. Any related experience (level design, making models, ...) Not any extensive experience, but I am working towards building skills at level design and environment building with the Unreal Map Editor, so there's that (Gotta diversify those interests. I'm also taking up Architecture proper as a hobby outside of MC. You should probably ask which area the person wants to work on I'll be happy to prototype some guild buildings on creative; although I'd also be happy to assist with any other projects you need doing.

This thread is still active! We've moved in Legend9468's fighter and archery guild halls, and they look pretty sweet! They are located next to the entrance to "Volcano", which has brand new region definitions that are MUCH cleaner than before. Joe has been hard at work on Castle, gutting the entire maze floorplan and building massive open hallways. We need more builders for all that's on the list!
If you want to see the guilds the creative staff had been working on ages ago i'd be happy to try to dig up the warps and throw them down here. I think a few of them may be done or more than halfway completed. You may do what you like with them. Use their designs or just purely for inspiration.
It seems most of our builds have been lost in time, but I scrounged together some warps that can give an idea of some builds. Not sure if you can use anything we have laying around, it seems most of our builds match our egos, fairly large. the only one that was completely finished and actually designed well for survival is Qb's fishing guild. Qb10panther's Fisherman Guild @/warp FishermanGuild random guild @/warp bobplot (to the left there is a castle with terrain n stuff. scattered around are random buildings.) there are lots of things around /warp Paris and /warp chan that you could possibly use, I'm sure he they won't care. As always any warp made by chandler107 or Reddux will be beautiful. I thought we had done a lot more, we may have, however, I can't seem to find them. You could probably fly around plotworld and find some nice things. The team built a lot of example builds and threw them down there. I like how to describe the guild halls as 'pretty sweet' and the volcano definitions as 'clean' while my work is 'gutting' and 'massive'. Actually, never mind, that is an accurate description. Carry on. I am interested in outsourcing the design of small room-sized challenges and puzzles to anyone interested in contributing. Essentially, any random bum designs a room and if it's alright, I adjust the theme and colors to match the castle and add it to the overall structure connected by custom hallways/doorways/passages. This is meant to still keep the quality of one good builder making a castle, but make up for the deficit of ideas I have for actual challenges. While I'm here and in class I think I'll take some notes on what constraints I would place on 'contract' work. - Every room must have at least one entrance and exit. - Every room must have at least one distinguishing feature. - Every room must have low lighting for at least 50% of the space - Every room must present a challenge (Pick at least one) --- Takes at least 20 seconds to complete (ex: parkour, mini-boss) --- Provides an increased chance of death (enviroments where item loss is a major factor are discourged) --- Contains something hidden --- Provides background or lore for the castle Anyway, my main goal for this construct is "No Empty Rooms". Casual reminder that there's still the alchemy, trainer's, and farmer's guild that I built are good to go, and just need to be copied over. Still not to happy with the lumberjacks (kinda average build) and terraforming (Not focussed, doesn't embody the concept) though; I'm happy for someone else to take them over Joe Quick clarifier on the above: Are there set dimensions for these rooms? And are the entrances/exits fixed? I'm happy to throw down a few ideas on creative if you need me to. Also, kinda hard to provide background information on the build if we know nothing about it Although I assume you'll message anyone helping so everyone else has to discover it themselves.
Legend9468: - There isn't any particular dimension requirement, but under 15x15x15 would be the easiest to place in the build without a lot of work. If it is a boss or epic-challenge room, I could accept something much larger, but at that point the room better be amazing because I'm going to have to design most of a floor around it. - A door anywhere is fine, any possibility of a simple doorway system was ruined by having rooms of different sizes anyway - I also did intend to message anyone interested in-game if they wanted to make a lore room. - If you're volunteering, go to /warp castle on the survival world and you can see what I've already built.

I finished the Lumberjack guild, I would make a warp to it but apparently architects are only allowed 5 warps (I have 2 pages of warps that I don't want to delete). You can get to the guild by using my /home Thanks to qb for the house design

Yeah, more builders I was afraid I was going to have to make them all myself. It's probably a good idea to have a wander around the spawn island to get an idea of the terrain as well, not much room for expansive fields of anything like that for the most part.
This thread will always remain valid, so it's worth bumping. I actually have a contribution to make as well. I need help with a build on survival. I've found myself with very little free time over this past week to work on a particular build of mine (A spawn/small town type thing), and so I figure it'll help if I get peeps to help me with it. I'd rather get Apprentice level peeps from creative to help, but I shan't be too picky if a few Builder IIs also want to pitch in. Once this particular section is done then it'll be open to the entire server to contribute. So the more people that help now the sooner we can all have fun.
