I could not find this in the guides, nor in the forums. Probably missed it. When I use my nether portal to go to the nether, and come back to the over world, I end up sent to some place on the edge of the map. Is this intentional? (maybe to keep people from invading bases and towns?) Feature or bug?
It is because the current plugin we have (multiverse) does not take into account the origin of the world, which in mining's case is a few thousand blocks out of target. We've had code on the server for a few months to fix this, but multiverse does not rely on traditional portal mechanics to teleport, so the patch was bypassed. I haven't been able to get free time to look at this again, but this is definitely a known (and incredibly annoying) bug.
Taking a moment to thank you for all these subtle fixes that you give us, that we don't even notice in day to day activities. You do make our time ingame easier and more enjoyable with them
