Digital Electronics and Aerospace Engineering are part of an organization called "Project Lead The Way" that has programs for math, science, engineering, and technology. My school does the same thing for its digital electronics class and all of its engineering courses.
Ndv just summed it up nicely. As for the programming course, my school has an emphasis on comp sci for some reason, so it offers a lot of those kinds of classes.
