Processor: Intel I5 4670k or something like the AMD FX-8150 3.6ghz 8 core. Motherboard: No idea what to do here Graphics card: MSI GeForce GTX 660 or 750Ti not sure what I need. Ram: Just 8gb Any cooling? Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 3.5" 7200RPM 2TB internal hard drive OS: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit Generics optical system etc Any case that fits. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3lSfp I'm looking for so etching around this spec. I have no idea whether to get the AMD or Intel, or what motherboard to get. Don't know if I need any cooling or not. If you guys have any tips or stuff on what I should get please let me know awastedlife Dynodamon CyberVic if you guys could help that'd be great
try by starting to look at this http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz87xud4h I believe it only works with intel based processors http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a99fxpror20 this should work with the amd processor you chose
Before this becomes another long debate over computer hardware that keeps showing up in my recent threads. I'm going to end this here. Processor: Either one works for what you're doing, just pick one of the two Motherboard: Figure out what socket the processor is, and match it with a motherboard that is preferably micro atx since you don't want to spend more money on a full tower, and at least 32gb capacity cooling: Anything better than your stock fan that is provided. This will be like having all the choices at a candy shop harddrive is good enough windows is a yes 750ti since it saves you money compared to a 660 any optical.
When you say good enough, should I get anything better. I'm not too held back by money as someone has kindly offered to pay the difference between what I have and what I need.
2TB, 7200rpm drive, works for darn near everything. Unless you know you have a metric crap ton of data, I would suggest dropping it to 1TB. Save a few bucks on space you won't use. Faster drives (10Krpm, 15Krpm) use up more electricity and generate more heat, but are certainly faster. SSD's are insanely fast, and much more expensive. Hybrid drives cache a portion of their HDD inside a small SSD, and that is a cheaper (actually reasonable) way to boost performance. Really though, 7200rpm will not cause you any issues. Just make sure you avoid viruses, clear out bloatware, and defrag your drive once in a while.
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3lYw8 This is what I've come up with, is there anything you would change or that you disagree with? Also, would this run a game like BF4 on high settings comfortably? Since that's probably the most demanding game I'd want to play. awastedlife ezeiger92
Epic You pick it up along the way, but if you want to start learning, newegg is brilliant. Also watch videos of people building PCs and research the things that you don't know. Shock If your going for gaming, I would recommend an AMD processor, some games don't work well with Intel so AMD is safer. Either Nvidia or AMD for graphics, but my personal choice would probably be Nvidia, but there are plenty of comparison videos on YouTube if you're not sure. Sent from my mobile cellular device
Then don't specialize in the great field of technology with rapidly increasing job rates and great pay.
... ANYWAY, I will be attempting to start learning up on this PC building, for my PC's lifespan is nearly over.
OR we could suggest articles to read/actually try to help him learn. Might actually fit better in another thread. I'll think about it after I'm done with classes.
