What if he came from neither way? It's only mentioned that he's from one of the two villages. Then again, maybe I'm overanalyzing this.

Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But five minutes later they both go out for dinner together. How is this possible?

and then she hangs out with him,

or her husband is actually a doll or something?
