Riddle me this...

Let's play a game.
A person will say a riddle, and the next person must answer the riddle. If the answer is confirmed correct by the person who made the riddle, the person who answered gets a point and says another riddle. I will be counting points and will post them every so often.
Other Rules:
No interjections. Let someone answer the riddle. If you are not making a riddle or answering one, do not answer.
Answer honestly. Basically do not be a jerk and start spewing random words.

I will start.
A dead man is found face down in middle of a desert. He is wearing a one piece suit, goggles, and a backpack. How did he die?

A man wants to get across to an island. The island is circle and there is one tree in the middle and one on the bank. The man has a rope that is longer then the perimeter of the water, how does he do it? Also, he doesn't swim or throw the rope.

Sorry, I can't make it red... XD

 

First, I have a few questions, the perimeter of the water? Do you mean the length?

Also, which bank is the tree on, the island, or where the man is standing?

 

Ties the rope between the trees and walks across like it's a tightrope.

 

Is this anything like the Juggler's Crates? He ties the rope to himself and lifts himself above and across the water.

Not so much a riddle, as a logic puzzle.

He ties the rope to the tree on the bank, then proceeds to walk around the entire outside of the lake back to his starting position; the rope is now looped across the tree in the middle. He then just climbs across the rope. You forgot to mention the part where the lake is filled with piranhas or your preferred method of death.

Shock was the first to post the answer, I was just elaborating.

 

Silver forgot to mention it was a lake. I assumed it was an ocean. I am going to have to point out to everyone to be specific.

 

I certainly hope so, unless it's a near identical riddle that has a completely different answer.
