We have a huge community of extremly smart people on shadecrest as well as a lot of much younger players, so why not have a fourm for people to ask questions and get help with their homework, since some people may not have others to help them out. Seems like a good way to help out the shadecrest community! What do you guys think?

I think we shouldn't even be discussing this because homework shouldn't exist.

I don't see an issue with offering homework advice, but if it turns into simply giving the answers then that's not beneficial at all.

Yeah, I completely agree there, giving the answers is not helping at all, it would be more of a place where people can ask a question and have it explained to them how they are to do it, not just given the answer

So how much will it cost for me to hire you to do my homework for rest of the year?

Sounds fun! Never had any real help with homework, so I always end up searching internet for hints :(

Khan Academy is very good for those nights when you have a test the next day and you willingly study the night before and get a D+ on the test.

You will most likely be seeing me a lot in this thread. Hope some people are good at Algebra.

There are definitely a lot of people on here that are really good with algebra!

We can only pray that people actually are good at algebra

This would be very helpful for my algebra if my parents would allow me to actually be on the computer when I'm doing homework ):

I'd totally be willing to help people with homework, math specifically. As random said, no one is getting their homework done for them, but I would be happy to try and explain some concepts. Just note I haven't been in a traditional math class in a few years, so try to include the equations/keywords of what you are working with.

Geometry or something? I would rather be in that than my Algebra repeat class. That problem you posted isn't that hard really (at least I think so). I went over it with my dad last year, luckily I gots myself a calculator that can do that for me!

    dy/dx = 3 cos x - 4 (-sin x)
    or
    dy/dx = 3 cos x + 4 sin x
Am I right? Do I show an understanding of a calculator?

I ain't allowed calculators tho in the exam! This is where the problem comes from.

That was also the first problem to appear when I googled "Trigonometry, Derivatives"

Oh god, polynomials. I can only seem to remember how to do some of them. Here is an explanation on how to factor out stuff if you working with powers of 2 and under. The other powers still work in a similar manner, but I'm not wanting to look up anymore tonight.

    CanOpenerTrooper

Let me know if that's even remotely helpful. Again, there is a bit more to it if your dealing with higher powers which I can't recall how to do right now, but understanding this much would be a good start.
