Hi guys, can anyone give a dumbass (meaning stupid moron(meaning me)) a step by step guide on how to get a more than 16x16 texture pack for minecraft? I've tried for a little under 10 minutes and gave up. Thanks in advance
It's similar to how you do a normal texture pack. I haven't used a hd one in a while, but back in beta what was needed to be done was: Download the HD tex pack (now resource packs). I liked to use the John Smith pack, and the voxel ones on the odd occasion. Insert it into the normal folder like with other texture packs. This is where it's probably changed since my day. Now you have to use a separate program like MC patcher, the program is simple to use; just run and click patch. Not sure if it ever got updated, someone who's used these things more recently. Profit.
Jesus, guys, come on. No patcher, no optifine (unless you want optifine). Minecraft supported hd textures with 1.6, no need to 'patch' anything to make it work. Pie, you can just download a resource pack and it will work. That is all. (remember to put it in the .minecraft/resourcepack folder) Try downloading Sphax for 1.6.4.
I've been on default ever since getting admin. We generally should use it when checking out builds on creative.
I did! I'm sorry for forgetting one irrelevant line of text from ages ago. I take note of the important stuff.
Just get at that glorious optifine. Throw a couple shader mods in the mix... wam bam beautiful. From the Space phone.
