If we were to build large enough the inside of the island could be an almost complete futuristic build while the outside is fantasy. CONCEPT:
I'm down with the floating land theme. After working on the under ground section of my last build I have changed my mind about the underground dwarven city. Lighting was a pain. The picture of the floating island look like thy would be a really fun build.
So to clarify its one or two large floating islands with ruins and dwarven strongholds/fortresses built into them?
Also, if you guys could start brainstorming for an organic to make in the project that'd be good. I'd love to teach a few people some organics during the build.
I guess I need to be taught what you mean by organic. Cause I'm not sure what you are talking about. Prolly gonna feel derpy after you tell me.
That's the best thing about community builds you get to work with and learn from a lot of people. And as far as organics lots of overgrown trees flowers and other vegetation as well as vine cover statues. Number of islands may vary. I would like to do multiple islands with bridges vines fallen trees etc to move between. Then let's think. About turning this into a working map. Ie adventure, CTF , etc
I like this idea, it would keep the build smaller with high attention to both detail and function, all important lessons
Maybe we could have the centre of whichever city/fortress/citadel we choose to build contain a tree, which has grown out of control over the centuries and has now grown through walls and such? Like a Mother Nature reclaiming what is rightfully hers sort of thing.
This has nothing to do with organics but when we do start the build it could be a good idea to have build leaders for parts of the build, like someone in charge of the over seeing of terraforming, organics, interior, etc... We could work in teams possibly by times usually played and such.
Last time si and iwill did the terra and then people where allocated build areas, but this time it would be cool to do a bunch of it on TS.

What I'm thinking is having the voxel team on first to get the land and some organics done. Then bring everyone in and just build like mad building foundations being laid out first to fit the land. Then once the building part is done partially destroy buildings and then go in and add foil age.
When I try to make ruins (not saying we do this) I just finish the building then I just blow it up partially with TNT, and just add some foliage.
