New Biomes In 1.7

So, idk where to put this, but what are we going to do when 1.7 comes out? they are adding A F**KING TON of new biomes... and unless we regen/expand the world we wont have em

i hope so, i really want to check out the new biomes

 

Mining worlds will definitely have the new biomes. In the past biome updates, all the generation code got overwritten and changed so plains biomes turned into desert biomes and made the grass look like poopoo. I think all we'd have to do is expand the boarders...that's how we got jungles in the old maps. I think there are only 2-3 new biomes right now.

 

Mining world will probably be where the new area will be.

I mentioned it to sharq, but he didn't say much about it. I don't think it's a big deal since the majority of the server functions off of plots. Also, the architect world can still be expanded.

 

We will get the block the block types and make our own damn biomes lol

 

I will lower the terrain world radius in hope that it can generate new land when we update. Remember that most of the land doesn't have trees or caves so it won't be what you're looking for really.

 

I just want to know the biome types really, I ain't too fussed about foliage.

(When we update, I'll do a run around the further edges of the terrain world, find some of the new biomes, and make a public warp so people can check them out. I'll remove it about a week after that)

no that will ruin it? if anything expand architect for new biomes.

 

Definitely expand architect when it updates, that'd be sweet.

 

I can look up the biome types if you want Legend if you want and post the current list of new biomes/changes on this site.

 

List of new upcoming biomes for 1.7

• Mesa plateau-cool looking floating islands (broken in current snapshot 13w36a)
• Clay mountains (Mesa) (disco mountains!!!)-different kinds of colored clay
• Red wood forest (mega Taiga)-new grass block variants and 2x2 trees
• Savannah-probably figure out what that's like
  • Variations include plateau and mountains which can go as high as y170
• Birch tree biome-if you don't know what's new in this biome your a moron
• Stone beaches (thought to be cliffs by some)
• Ice plains - Spikes are rare
• Roofed/black forest - Thick trees close together, dark enough for mobs to spawn

Changes to current biomes

• Flower forest - standard forest with a bunch of flowers
• Sunflower plains - standard plains with sunflowers
• Extreme hills +M - Mountain peaks which reach the sky
• Deep ocean - Up to twice as deep as regular ocean
• Taiga - Plain Taiga biomes no longer have snow as default, variation called Cold Taiga

To have a better look at them yourself a good seed is "5202239451427469735". The current problem is clay not generating I believe.
