What does your computer setup look like?

In reality, two years isn't that far back when it comes to computer tech. The average lifespan of a good desktop/laptop should last you like 2-6 years.

Computer technology doubles in speed, efficiency, and size (storage size) every 2 years. you may be able to keep a computer that long, but it will become a fish tank later on :3

I was referring to how apple makes their previous generations obsolete so you need to keep buying thei 'new and improved' products.

Yeah 0.5 inches more on your screen is so worth the 200 bucks, and then you gotta re-download all your apps and suffer through another cringe-worthy session on iTunes.

Apple is the future of reasonable companies.

Installing windows 8 on my new computer ^_^ I named irt Whiskers :p I am so proud that I just built a device that is 100x more powerful than a spaceship back in the late 60s :p to the moon I have to say I really like Windows 8! feels smooth with my AMD A10 5800K Black edition 3.8ghz over clock to 4.2!(AKA a beast)...

Should have pictures up soon <_>

    W
Because I can use the GPU instead of the APU stuff. Also I absolutely love windows 8 way more than 7.

Apple does not directly run itunes. Every "fan boy" absolutely hates itunes. It is basically a separate company that is a piece of crap. I had to reset my password 11 times in the last month :\

dude, get a fx 8350 instead of an APU, its MUCH more powerful if ur also buying a GPU. and win8 is horrible for gaming and the metro looks like shit

I like the metro. Also I ran some bench marks with windows 8, it is pretty good at gaming. I get very nice FPS. Also, windows 8.1 comes out soon which has added benefits and even more performance. Still not sure on a GPU. Right now I am kinda debating on GPUs. I get super high FPS on Minecraft maxed out with no mods and with the 1.6 launcher.

On another topic, is your computer custom built? Specs?

Nope, not custom built. I got it almost 2 years ago now, so I didn't want to go through the hassle/trial and error of building it, which I regret every day of my life.

    Intel i7 960 3.2GHz
    16GB DDR3 RAM
    Windows 7 64bit
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 545
