I am ready to go pvp. I have saved up enough to make a defendable position. What I am apprehensive about most is etiquette. How does one take anothers head with civility? I don't want to make people hate me, I just want their pretty pretty heads on my wall So how do we engage in the art of headhunting here at shadecrest? Also, I dont fully understand the mechanics of towns. I need help with that. Are towns impassable to anyone who hasn't been given permission? In the rules it mentions protected houses. What are those? Whats a towny block? Help me out.
You can enter all towns by walking, ender pearl, climbing, etc. The town's land is protected, so outsiders usually cannot destroy or place blocks, most towns have it so members of the town can only build in their plot. PvP should be enabled everywhere in the town(as of now, we might allow non-pvp plots for a price). Note that if you can destroy the griefing rules still apply (so you can break a part of the wall to enter as long as you repair it) A towny block is a block protected by towny. Players cannot trap you in the town with towny blocks means they cannot trap you in a house you cannot escape, it would be like a trap with no escape. You can raid a PvP town with others only if everyone raiding is in a PvP town themselves, otherwise you have to go alone, but this does not mean travel a lone, or raid at the same time, but not together, it means you cannot raid the town together in anyway. There really is no etiquette in taking other people's heads, just don't be a jerk and you should be fine. P.S. try not to damage the spinal cortex, they need that. EDIT: also /ch pvp in game
