PVP arena

So I have just very recently actually begin to like the survival server (taken off hard mode). I was very disappointed to see that the PVP arena was closed off. I usually always battle people in there for fun. I asked the moderator on at the time and they said it is closed off unless an event is happening. I don't really see the logic in this.. was the arena prone to griefers or something? My suggestion is that we either re-open the arena (and make more entrances to it) and only have it closed to the public (battling) when an event is happening. I know many people miss it. I may be wrong on some of this stuff due to me just picking up survival... So hear me out, please make the arena public almost 99% of the time or make a new one... When ever someone wants to battle for fun we usually go to /warp php and just fight out side of the spawn. The only problem I see in that is mobs and the fact that it doesn't have the same feeling as an arena. I mean, in an arena people are constricted to a area, can not cheat by building blocks, and arenas usually have fun traps. I miss the arena
Also another suggestion is that since most of the time people battle in there for fun and give each others loot back maybe, just maybe we should get rid of the lava. It is really dumb. In some of the survival games maps they have lava pits. to me it is the stupidest thing to have full diamond and then fall into Lava -_- Thanks for your time
