After a few days of shadecrest 2.0, I have finally decided to set up base. I realise there are no open cave systems, so begin the expensive operation which is mining downwards. Being my luck, I fall down into a room with a spider spawner, and am destroyed instantly. I return with tnt, which I drop down into the room, which promptly destroyed me, while the fabled Beocca begins slaughtering them left right and centre.
Yeah, bring some fire resists and you can basically spam flint and steel all you want no repercussions sans the occasional burning if you're not careful.
