    On Planet Minecraft, our score is 273 at the time of posting. It is October 8th.

    Score = 1.5 * votes + .033
    273= 1.5 x votes (ignore the .033)
    273 divided by 1.5 is 181

    So... in 8 days, we got 181 votes.

    181 divided by 8 is a little under 23.

    What I'm asking is... why are less than 23 people voting every day?

    we really only have 23 active players that care enough to vote.

    That is rather... bad. Do the new people know that voting exists?

    Unfortunately, a lot don't. Most vote once to get approved, and then that's it. I didn't really start voting hardcore for the server until about 6 months on it (still voted 10-15 times a month before that)

    Some of them think you can only vote once or something...and only on one site.

    Yeah minestatus, but the one Pie is talking about is planetminecraft. So the reason this one doesn't get much votes is that the application tells new players they must vote on minestatus. Depending where max wants the bulk of votes to be, this could say minestatus and/or planetminecraft

    lol, to be honest, I really only started voting this month XD

    500r seems like a little, but it is actually a lot, the new players probably fail to see that this adds up.

    Yeah, when they say it's not much money, I'll tell them how I've made 33k in two months from voting

    I was going to suggest that the voting reward money was too low, but then any reasonable amount more would be overpowered...

    100 per vote is fine. 300r per day is a good income.

    I build a lot and buy most of my materials. Voting rupies make up at least 30% of my income.

    I think maybe every day you vote, you should /msg a player you know on the server and remind them to vote as well.

    I use this tactic in employee management when I am trying to get everyone to do a certain thing every day. I tell them, hey, when you do it, remind the guy next to you to do it to.

    Sometimes administrative efforts and mechanisms are not adequate, by themselves, to enforce certain protocols. Such protocols must be enforced or co-enforced by the community at large. "remind your buddy" is one way and there are other ways that we may be able to come up with as well.

    The server chat reminder is OK, but we may need more reminders. With the new survival games and their popularity, we might be able to tie in voting somehow to that through creative reminders or bonuses for voters etc...

    Just my thoughts...

    500r, actually. Vote for creative too :D

    and usually the messages in game remind me to vote, so that does it for me
